Niagara Artists Centre is a not-for-profit, charitably registered, member-driven collective formed by and dedicated to serving the working artists and community of Niagara. Founded in 1969 as a collective of working artists, NAC is one of the oldest artist-run organizations in Canada.
In today's digitally-driven world, artists must have an online presence to be heard-seen-found-bought. It's just the way it is.
Increasingly, art patrons looking for new and interesting work turn to the internet. They type a few familiar words into the search field and hit 'go'. For an artist to show up in the results, she first has to have posted some relevant content in a way that can be 'found.' And, once found, it would be nice to also have an easy way for patrons to buy.
Therein lies the challenge for young and emerging artists.
From our experience – years of it – we know that managing the 'business side' of their art often falls by the wayside for lack of resources, systems, or knowledge of where to start.
So, our little collective has decided to make it easier for both our our artists and you to get to know each other and transact.
On this website, we have created a portfolio opportunity and eCommerce portal for our member artists. The great thing is that they don't have to do anything... we manage it all for them. (Artists like this idea!)

We (NAC) will process the order and forward it to the artist who will then call you to arrange for delivery. (Note: Shipping costs are not included in the prices on this website.)
Once your art work has been delivered, we then forward the payment to the artist, retaining only a small percentage to cover the cost of the financial transaction and administration costs.
You get great art, the artist gets paid. It's all good.
